Because of the specific field expertise gained by the company’s Principal (P J de Geeter) over more than forty years, the company’s service is not restricted to above Organizations but also includes occasional ad-hoc service to other Consulting firms and Contractors.

In the context of consultancy service provided to Woodside P/L in 1984, Marecon developed a concrete block mattress system called Flexmat ^TM, followed by first application on the Rankin trunkline and around the mud mats of the Rankin platform. (for erosion prevention)

Since then the system has been applied on many offshore, coastal and onshore projects, both in Australia and occasionally overseas, to the entire satisfaction of the customers.

The system has a flawless track record and is currently the only concrete block mattress system available in Australia, protected by IP rights and exclusive access to the required special loopmatting. (with a durability of more than 50 years in the most adverse environmental conditions)
